Sonali Bendre (born 1 January 1975) is an Indian film actress, model and author. Primarily worked in Hindi films, she has also appeared in Telugu, Tamil, Marathi and Kannada films and is the recipient of a Filmfare Award.Bendre was born in Mumbai in a Maharashtrian family. She studied at Ramnarain Ruia College, Mumbai. She has a brother who lives in Mumbai. Her father was a civil servant.[3] She studied in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Bangalore.

Tandon made her film debut with Patthar Ke Phool (1991).
